SUP Yoga on the Corniche - Abu Dhabi, the latest must do activity!

Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Yoga is the fastest growing activity around the globe, and now you can practice it at your doorstep - at Hiltonia Beach Club, Abu Dhabi.

If you try it once, you would want to do it again and again. Challenging, creative, fun! This must be by far the most exciting event for me! :)) It is an amazing workout and a beautiful connection with mother Earth!

The class starts with a short SUP Intro session to teach you the basics of Paddleboarding and help you be more comfortable on the board when doing Yoga. We then continue with gentle stretches and gradually build to a rejuvenating Yoga flow. Boosting balance, improving strength, sharpening concentration, but above all, having a lot of fun!

Classes are run 3 times a week - on Sunday and Wednesday at 5:00pm, and on Saturday at 8:00am, Complete Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced classes, located at the beautiful Hiltonia Beach Club, provided by Watercooled.

Prenatal Yoga for Mommies-to-be in Abu Dhabi: Bonding with your unborn baby

Discover the physical and mental benefits of prenatal yoga during pregnancy, which yoga poses are safe when you're pregnant, and how to do yoga safely.

Timing: 9am-10am, please arrive 15 minutes earlier. This is a morning class, if you have any other preferences, please let me know!

Location: Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi

Cost: AED 40 per person, please note, the class will run if there are 4 or more participants

Location: Once you confirm your attendance, I will send you directions and more information on the location.

Precautions: Please check with your doctor if it is safe for you to practice Yoga!

Pregnancy must be one of the most amazing experiences a woman goes through, and probably there is no better way to stay fit, calm and prepare for childbirth than with Yoga.

Research suggests that Prenatal Yoga is safe and can have many benefits for pregnant women and their babies. Some of the benefits include:

* Improved sleep;
* Reduced stress and anxiety
* Increased strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth
* Decreased lower back pain, nausea, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches and shortness of breath
* Decreased risk of preterm labour, pregnancy-induces hypertension and intrauterine growth restriction (slowing baby's growth)

A typical Prenatal Yoga class starts with slow and deep breathing techniques (Pranayama) that helps with the shortness of breath and teaches you how to manage better the contractions during labour. The class continues with gentle stretches that keep your joints moist and release tension while exploring their full range of motion. Students are then guided through a variety of standing, balancing or seated asanas (poses) aimed at developing strength, flexibility and balance. The class ends in modified Shavasana (corps pose) to help you relax your muscles and restore your heart rate and breathing rhythm. You will be gently encouraged to connect with the growing baby inside you with the help of a guided visualisation.

You will leave the Prenatal Yoga class feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, with a sense of well-being and love for yourself and your baby.
